Looking to do something different for my next build.

how do they fair and whats your opinion?

Never had any problems with my Spins, but they do look better on certain bikes. I also think that you need to either have two wheels the same, or at least the rear wheel be a DiskDrive to balance the look of the bike.

TSC.

I had a set of Spins on my Trek and Kona, loved them, but they were pretty heavy, more maybe for downhilling than cross country...

I always wanted a Disc Drive but Bike Pro in the states were selling them off cheap so I got a set.

Sold a few years later at a really good price :D

Only problem is that when the aluminium braking surface is worn though then they're buggered....

I did see somewhere that another company were bringing out something simular...can't think who they were called now.

I dont own the bike anymore (although I have kept the SPIN), but here is my GT Tempest build.

That STS is on of the VERY few bikes that Spin wheels ever looked good on in my opinion.

I reckon carbon wheels just look too heavy & bulky for most frames. :?

Probably not quite the style of bike you were after  :
