do they ride as good as they look?
i love the s works m2 stumpys
red one on ebay frame for 300 or best offer

Seeing as this thread has been woken up again, here is my Stumpjumper after having a few tweaks.

Its about 95% finished:

Yes it's the first M2 and is a factory team bike. Bought second hand from outside Moto in Cranleigh, Surrey in spring of 1992. From my vague memory the Specialized rider dumped it off there to pick up another bike with front suspension which had just come out. I'm wondering how many platinum coloured team M2's were produced

nothing on this bike is original. Everything has been upgraded. It is the smoothest ride I have ever had. Every week someone tries to buy it from me. But no deal this is my baby.

But unless you're over 6'6" (and judging by the saddle height, you're not) you'd be better off with a much smaller frame...
 
You're going to like the Stumpjumper pics I'll be putting up before I go on holiday - but one of them's not quite ready yet.....
