Speaking of 1993, here is my this week's project: 1993 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 in 'violet metallic' two tone. I took a liberty in accentuating a bright yellow logo with bright yellow pedals, handlebar grips, and cable housings. May not be the most practical, but I just couldn't help it. Is it too festive?

I have this bike hanging on my wall in my home office. Without looking at the rear derailleur, this is a late 91'/early 92' Specialized S-Works M2 Team and only 500 were made. Serial numbers are stamped inside the rear drop out. Some came with Suntour XC some with XT M730. Mine is an XT version.

For this bike I happen to have an original saddle in perfect shape. I tried complete 'yellowfication' on another Specialized - 1993 Specialized Hardrock Ultra. Saddle by McSelle is not only cheerfully yellow, but actually quite well made.
