show us your Rocky Mountains!

Not mine (I wish It was) but it's too cool not to post here- @fonzy1977 had a little bit of a show n shine in Saskatoon last night and this showed up. Original owner (not for sale, I tried) Original fork was bent after a jump. paint couldn't be replicated so the owner replaced it with the Syncros. Hopefully the owner of this beauty finds his way here to this forum- with his permission here are some quick pictures. S/N looks like 1751(though I'm not sure about that)

1988 Wedge. (the owner is looking for a Gen 1 syncros post for it- if anyone has one laying around. Unfortunately I don't)

That's beautiful.

Is there a pulley or tube the other side to redirect the front mech cable at the seat junction or does it just use stops?

My dream bike there

I've been busy lately, I'm casually trying to collect all 92 models Rocky Mountain made and they've been popping up kinda lately (I've also been looking).

So along with the Glacier, Team Comp, and Hammer (I'm sure you've already seen ad nauseam). I've pick these up.

92' Experience

Question for all you experts- should I swap the tires on the Equipe and Experience ?

opps one more- I picked this up off marketplace out of the Vancouver area. I'm pretty sure it's a 95 Vertex

A noble undertaking, that would be one heck of a stable. I think there were 14 models, 15 if you count the European Glacier as a different model than the North American Blizzard:
Fusion
Hammer
Equipe
Experience (elevated stay)
Stratos
Expert
Blizzard (North America)/Glacier (Europe)
Team Comp
Vertex
Cirrus
Altitude
Thunderbolt
Tantalus
Titanium

yes, it would be, that's why it's "casually" The difficult ones are going to be the Titanium, Tantalus, and Thunderbolt. Altitude and Expert to a lesser extent. I have a line on a 92 Vertex and Stratos. There was also a Metro. I already have the Fusion, Hammer, Experience, Equipe, Team Comp, and Glacier (I disagree that Glacier were Euro market blizzards, it makes zero sense but that's another conversation).

if anyone on my side of the pond has a 92 model sitting around that isn't currently in my garage... maybe we should chat? maybe we shouldn't? I dunno, we probably should. this is a sickness.

Whoa, I was just pointed to this thread here! o_O:oops: SO many beautiful Rocky's here and here mine is all worn and beat looking... Sorry about that. Its lead a life of hard riding. On its first day from the store, I rode it submerged in the South Saskatchewan river. My riding buddies were shocked that I would do this to a brand new bike. I suppose I was too, but that's what I did with my old Hammer so I needed to see if I made the right trade ;)

It has been ridden hard, but lovingly maintained after all the hard rides. It was also used as a daily commuter year round for many years. Some of my best rides were in the cold Saskatchewan winters with it. So with that its is going away to Chris Dekerf for an assessment and possible repairs. I'll keep everyone updated to it and hopefully I can show it back here looking clean and shiny like a new penny. Mean time I'm working on another Rocky and hope it can look as good as the examples here. They are truly an inspiration. Thanks!
