This is my ‘95 Blizzard. Built with my favourite parts to ride and look at.

Picked up this crusty 88 Avalanche and succeeded in seized seatpost removal with brutality and
Fluid Film ....luckily the seatpost was short though the galvanic corrosion was substantial. My 88 Blizzard slope had
the same fate.

One of my favourite threads but somehow I've never posted anything here.

Where to start...

How about my 1991 Summit Max - a model only sold in Germany I think. Not sure how it ended up as part of a deal with a low end GT and a junk BMX bike, but that's how it goes.

This is how it started;

Probably the worst bike I've ever dealt with. Of course the seatpost was stuck.

I am pretty happy with the ratbike nature of what I ended up with. It feels like a race bike that someone with no budget scraped together. And it rides beautifully.

another score for ferghus. and another nice one too. my favorite year of avalanche.
super nice riding bike. enjoy your new toys.
Thanks Roy ! I was donating some parts to a local cycling organization and found that Avalanche in a heap...feared it might find its way into the metal recycle bin. :LOL:
