My 1986 Ridgeback 501 would like to join the party

Looks to be the same frame and forks as mine.
What are the shifters and brake levers?
I can’t remember what model I decided mine was.

Re:

The Ridgeback 501 has a drive train with Shimano RD - AL11 and FD - AL11 mechs
controlled by SL - MT50 shifters . The brake levers are BL - M700

Re:

If this comes off there will be pics soon from Raiden 73. Here’s my 89 605 comp series. It’s massive at 22”
All original bar seat and post. Came into my possession 2 wks before iconno 2017 so I had to polish and take it.
This was top of the ridgeback range back in 89 apart from the ti.
With a price tag of £825 it’s no wonder there thin on the ground.

Cheers adrian

A super Rare Ridgeback - Massive but fillet brazed loveliness!!
Here's a pic I took of it at the Iconoclassic. Was top of the range in 1989 btw - The Merlin Titanium Ridgeback didn't appear until 1990.

Talking of 1990 - was Dossa's (Cheers Matty!!), now residing in the boy"O"boy stable.

1990 Ridgeback 704XT - Tange prestige frame / Tange Prestige Switchblade forks /
Tange Prestige T-Bone/Bars - full XT throughout. Mavic MA40 wheelset.

Liking the '86 501 a lot..... That 603's nice too. That '89 freewheel catalogue has a lot to answer for!

Enjoy.

My 1991 501 City - it’s my commuter bike. Got a Deore DX rear derailleur after the last one met an unfortunate end.

Ridgeback 601gs
Got one in 89/90 if I remember right out the madison freewheel catalogue.
1st picture of it on my metal work class build bike repair stand
2nd picture on the west highland way on route to bridge of orchy.
Although one of the lower models in the range it got plenty of use and then I sold it on as I moved on to gt’s.
3rd picture Over last few days managed to get a hold of one again through fb thanks to Vince, will get wheels sorted out for it and have mix of lx/xt I’ll fling on it.
