And before I swapped the chainset, stem and forks, together with its older sister.

Are you riding her much Dave? Looks like a proper attack weapon! My RC104's been garaged for wks now and I'm riding my supercross bike loads. Must get her out soon. All the best bud

Never as much as I'd like to - like all my bikes once the short days start setting in. My weekends just disappear at the moment.....

It's the bike I've been riding most though - since I fitted the RC39s - but the FSR has had a couple of outings and last time I was on the F6, which has also improved its ride with the RC36 Evo III compared to before with the RC38.

To be honest there's not much between them at the moment - they both weigh the same as the UST tyres cancel out the frame weight savings and the Ti seatpost gives similar shock absorbency to the carbon seat-tube. The wider, more grippy tyres and shorter stem on the RC300 make it that bit more predictable, whereas the F6 feels a tad livelier.

Paul....i may be miles off here but my immediate reaction is steve worland.....am i right?....

looks like it, although that poor bike has changed saddles over the past couple of years more often than some people change their undies!

Can't remember if I added a pic of mine when I had it resprayed

Not exactly sure of the year, as I (still to my regret) sold it back in about 96/97

I'd love another one

Plus a pic of the 'other' Richard Thackray & myself

We always have a bit of a chat when we see each other (& when I see his mum & dad at runs too, his dad still races cross!)

I see him (& his brother) at various fell-races now, in fact I last saw Richard just over a week ago at the 'Harriers v Cyclists'
