Show us your... Overbury's

Re:

Yes, I'd go with late '88...since it still has a rollercam, but has changed over from the Reynolds double bend chainstays to the Columbus single bend oval ones.

All the best,

This is really cool in a way that most oversize bikes aren't. Are you keeping it?

Not sure at the moment, I expect I might move it on at some point either complete or as a frame. The wheels are great anodised in grey despite the stainless spokes.
I’m stalking you you know

Any thoughts?

Here is a rare picture sighting of Andy Powell, builder of Overbury's bikes, on the right, during the Fat Tyre 5 Cross Fell Caper 1985. Aged around 30, apparently.

Also Steve Devine, 2nd Left, who lived in Llanwrtyd Wells by early 1986, and I think rode and worked for Andy. I bought my Pioneer through him, and never actually spoke or dealt with Andy or his mother Enid for the sale.

From a Facebook post by Drew Lawson (Of Muddy Fox, on the left), including Matt Mills, Oli Timmins and Chris Tatton:

All the best,

And while we're at it...I found a few pics of my June 1988 Pioneer, in the Keighley snow a few years later.

Sorry, it's long gone, so I don't know the serial number.
It was a replacement for my 1986 Pioneer that cracked at the seat tube top, but do I still have that.
Most of the kit was swapped over, so only the brakes were new to this bike.

And the obligatory log pile shot from the time (with the Suntour Rollercam on the back, but the cable hanger was jut not high enough for it to work properly):

All the best,
