Yey what a thread! I Adore mine, shes a bit of an alrounder loves going down and up hills! - Shes now nearly full XTR groupset, now thats how much i lover her - Even a lovely set of RC 36's too :D

Im 6ft1 and can probably do with a larger frame but there is a small dink in the top tube which will probably put you off!

I'm sure you're right.

It's just removing that rear triangle and the pivot bearings etc to get it powder coated that I'm not looking forward to!

as long as not seized it's a piece of cake. 2 allens by the BB shell and one through the centre. That's it. Had mine apart a few years ago with no trouble.

Tried it more recently and the allen bolt through the centre of the pivot was locked tight.

Must try some penetrating on it....

Well may be, I guess it depends on how bad it is. His has a black rear triangle that probably needs painting, so if he is happy with the dent and you are happy to repaint the rear triangle it may work out! Why don't you PM me a picture of the dent so I can show him?

Looking good by the way.

a bit slow on the case......

.....but here's mine. Forever thinking about selling it on but a bit sentimentally attached to it. Was going to buy the nickel p7 but then saw that they were bringing these out so got my self on list for first batch that came through. a month later v brakes were available.
