I have and I have had many cranksets over the time. To day I got what I considder the nicest of them all - Middleburn RS2. I am stunned of the craftmanship and material quality.

Here is mine - show us your Middleburn...

i think that response to 'morati' is a bit harsh so on that basis to even it up i will add this pic of my RS2's(?)

and for the record i really like middleburn aswel :D

edit, that was the 2nd drive side arm to do that aswel

That broken Morati I got from the guy I bought the drive side crank, I am not sure how it broke but he said he had crashed on a rock.

Once I had the drive side I put it on my singlespeed for a while with an STX left arm, then later I was lucky enough to find a Morati one.

I rode with them on my SS for quite a few years, maybe 4. The cranks take a lot of abuse ridden this way even if I am pretty light. I often got comments about how they were supposed to break but decided to remain confident in them.

Then one day last year I was cleaning them and noticed a hairline crack on a weld on the left cranks. Could have been there for months, but I decided not to take any chances, and retire the crankset to the display cabinet.

But for me the crankset, especially the spider on the ATB version, is a think of pure beauty. I remember reading they were made of some 40-odd pieces welded together?

Polishing the arms on my RS2s at the minute!

I think the original middleburns looked better though, primarily because of the 'round' pedal section.

I dont get what the thing with middleburns is, the spiders are nice but the arms just look like some polished up generic jobbies.
