Re:

Here's my GT collection. Thinking if parting with one sts, though not sure which. The latest one I built (1000ds) has turned out rather nicely though I do like my first one too. Maybe a few parts swapped around on to the ds frame as I think I prefer thelook of it. Thoughts?

No. The ds has a trunnion fox with an sts specific trunnion (the fox is an older one with a narrower body than the modern ones). The sts-2 has a fox rl from a cannondale jekyll with a customised jekyll trunnion to fit the top linkage (thanks to rampage on here for making the modifications).

Re:

Wow. I shall have to chat to Rampage then. Any ideas if he can fiddle them to work in an LTS?

I think as long as you've a trunnion rear ended LTS then you should be OK. No idea on the earlier versions. Just to be clear, both shocks have threaded air cans as standard, so you can't use a normal rear shock. I've a couple of spare shocks for each of the builds so if you decide you want to go down that route, let me know as I could let one go.

Also, the earlier fox rear shock I have had a compatible trunnion for the sts so didn't need modifying. Sadly the newer threaded body shocks are too wide to fit, hence the jekyll mod.
