Show us your Diamond Backs!!!

Bike Creatively

Old School Hero
As the title suggests; let's see 'em!! Late 80's through to 98ish, whether restomodded or original, Sorrento or Axis Pro, it doesn't matter! Let's see them all!! Especially those with classic and incredible Diamond Back smoke or spatter paint!!
P.s. thanks for the original thread suggestion @XTSTIMAN
*Please help by sharing all your cool DBs as I'm resurrecting this thread following it's deletion due to a hacker incident a while back*

I’ll start this thread off with my most recent DB acquisition; this 90 Axis XT has been a bit of a unicorn bike for me since I bought the 1990 catalog a few years back. So for £25 plus postage I really couldn’t say no! It’s gonna take a lot of work to make it look anything close to the catalog image, but at this point it’s very cool to just see one of these in person as they’re as rare as you get and I’m hopeful that these Japanese made Tange Prestige Quad Butted CRMO tubes and the Tange Big Fork have survived 33years well enough to be returned to their former glory with just rust removal and touch up paint… Anyone else got one of these?

Nice one Ben! That looks tidy 🤩 and I’m loving the use of Maguras on this!! What made you go for Judys over the original Manitous mate?
Thanks, it's a pretty cool bike. 👍
Judys were literally just because I already had them! I would quite like to put something carbon on there and maybe linkage too, like an AMP F3 or a Girvin/Noleen Crosslink but the Judys are fine to be honest. 😁

Looks to be in fantastic nick! Going with XT then? Great choice if you are ;)
Going for DX cranks and brakes; my brother is donating some biopace DX cranks which are awesome, and I had the brakes already. Definitely XT front and rear mechs as, using the law of the school bike shed in the 90’s, they made your bike the coolest there 😀
