yep old fords certainly have a premium to them now :( i remember not long ago £2000 would have got you a tidy rs2000

i can remeber buying a scruffy mk 2 rs2000 for £150 because i wanted the wheels for my capri
then took off the alloy sump/bellhousing/gear box mounts and scrapped the rest (while it still had mot and tax!!!!!)

i didnt mind tho as i had 3 others sat on the garden
if only i knew now what i knew then :( :( :(

early 90s ?

they were worthless . i remember they were banger fodder back then

but the middle aged crowd have bumped the prices up and made a common mans classic into a fair weather car :( or worse , an " investment "

i miss seeing old scorts and tinas on council estate front lawns :(

yeah 91/92 ish
had loads of fast fords etc all on my mums front garden

then i started getting posh and got a 3.0csl bmw for £500 and abused the snot out of it lololol
now worth upwards of £15k for a dog

Thought i'd add my baby to the list. My 1964 Hillman Imp. It's my daily driver and tax free and does 40 to the gallon, well sometimes anyway ;) . Uprated shocks and springs and uprated sport spec all aluminium coventry climax OHC engine running twin SU's and Janspeed exhaust. Not as quick as some on here but like go-karting on the road and great fun to drive. Definately retro too :D .
