Re:
My first, my last, my best...
First, 1989 Vauxhall Nova 1.3 Pearl, the posh model with alloys, 4 speakers and a sunroof. Cost £50, cheap and crap, always something broken but didnt cost more that £300 in any year to keep going.
Last, Volvo V40 1.9TD, bangernomics in action. With all the pence-per-miles I did and a bit of canny ebaying this beast cost me NOTHING to run a car for nearly 3 years. Solid, no faults, frugal, all good. The first of the common rail diesels so a bit ahead of its time really. I had a proper chavvy set of white 17 inch rims on for a while, they looked really good against the paint but handled a bit iffy.
And the best.
2006 Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B. proper beast, and a decent Q-car too because nobody expects all that power coming at them. fast, comfy, toys, good sound from the STI quad pipes too, nice and smooth but with a blast when you boot it. Sadly missed.
