Not shiny at the moment but once I’ve finished with them they’ll be very shiny!

Got em cheap and no cracks to be seen!

Taking a closer look there are some cracks next to the clamp area.

Was it just weight that stopped mountain bikes being chrome plated? Such a shame. I wonder what it would cost to get a frame and forks done?

I once rode with a guy in the very early '90s who had his Rockhopper fully chrome plated and then got fresh decals. Looked amazing for a while.

You showed this at the inn, my first guess would’ve been a gt but the frame is too deformed for that. Is that fillet brazing where the 2 seat stays meet?

Thanks a lot. It has internal cable housing at TT, and pretty heavy. But looks massive
