Was it just weight that stopped mountain bikes being chrome plated? Such a shame. I wonder what it would cost to get a frame and forks done?
As a user of Venhill matt dark grey titanium parts. I can tell you these are one of the least shiny parts you'll find.
The special turbo you have costs a fortune !I recall the Lites being 300g? This one is 370g. Comfortwise I can only compare it to the regular Turbo (original, not re issue). I found it quite a bit better, perhaps because of the back of the saddle being slightly shallower. Padding seems to be thicker also, but still firm. For context: My bum does not tolerate Flites anymore. Out of the pack the Avocet Racing (black, near NOS) is the most comfortable, followed by the Super Turbo.
Other weights of the pictured saddles:
Avocet Racing (black&white): 400g
Avocet Touring II: 400g
Regular Rolls (white): 405g
Rolls titanio: 280g
Ha ha, best reaction I've had to a post on here, chrome BMX wins every time. Could I enter it into bike of the month?Sorry, but whilst looking for pictures of shiny things, this came up. I still have the frame and forks somewhere.

Ha, it´s unfortunatley earmarked for a build, but they aren´t too bad if you look past the NOS ones from the scalpers on ebay. The special turbo you have costs a fortune !
