The Helix unfortunately does not sit right with the Z1 100 — I assume these were 7 inch i2i but mine measures out to be 7.25” and has a harsh top out — bumper delete? Or did they come like this? The 98 was already parted out by its owner when I got it — it had a curiously brilliant mix of parts, I was late to the MX6 fork (!!!) but a SRAM Plasma rear derailleur was thrown in. For the rear shock I have a rare 7” original Risse Astro-5 that needs a shaft replacement and service. I wish I could get another shaft in light gold, but Risse probably only has them in black by now…

Unbelievable attention to detail!!! Not sold on bars and stem but those brakes are brilliant!!! And the right fork too. I would throw on an S-Works Son of Strongarm or 739 5-bolt crankset but that’s just me being picky. Best Extreme I’ve seen yet!

I also put a Shiver World Cup on an FSR but it’s a bit front heavy!
thanks, it’s a 130mm travel Z1 on the front so works well with the extra travel of the helix on the rear and the lime green colour matches to the frame perfectly. I did put a Shiver WC on another FSR (I have a few…) but it’s a bit front heavy, will have to find a pic.

I really want a Shiver SC for the front of one of these, but the key word here is “want”. Everyone who owns a Shiver SC or Dorado SC seems to be a millionaire. I threw on the DC once for giggles and it dwarfs the poor Max, the only OG FSR I would feel safe putting it on is the 2001 DH.

Ha, I have a shark fin adaptor but went for the Magura rim brakes.
