See that queue going out this thread, through the lobby and halfway down the block? That's the queue for the Specialized disc brake adapter. Take a ticket.

Personally, I never understood why people change to disc in the back when 80%+ of the brake forces last on the front brake in speedy sections...

you haven't seen me ride. my maguras last halfway down my local downhill course (which was used in the worlds) start to fade so I NEEEDS more power. Also when I'm doing wheelies or manuals I have to use 2 fingers to control balance point and squeeze hard. Maybe I need to bleed them? they are new (maguras) and dont feel very powerful vs my xt ice tech 180 (rear brake on my canyon strive)..

Ello all, its been a while, still riding my 99 FSR elite but not as much as i should be :/

Anyway i never found any bushes to fit my old RockShox Deluxe rear shock and the play was just too much :(

I refitted the old Fox Vanilla that came with the bike, bushes are great, no play at all but the rebound is poor, it feels like its either missing some oil or it has air in the oil, cant seam to work out how to service that one either.

I bought one of the cheap 165mm shocks from ebay just to see how they mount, they mount the same as that DNM/DMR version posted a few pages back, the bushes on that are horrible, its a simple sleaved bolt that slides through the shock, i expect it will make a lost of noise (i never bothered to mount it)

I did pick up a nice looking Fox Float R this morning from Gumtree for £40, it seams in really good condition but it did not have the reducer top hat spacers, couldn't find any on the net apart from the mojo website so i have just had to pay £30 for 4 new ones, grrrrrr.

I bought one of these.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BANKRUPT-REAR ... 58a70015eb

It has the same mount as the more expensive DMR adjustable ones i have seen (by comparing pictures)

Do not buy the above shock, its horrible, to be honest it may work well, but it looks a lot more cheap and nasty when it arrives in person LOL.

Came home to an email from MOJO. apparently they dont have the sizes for my bike on file for some reason so can i send them some measurements? measuring the stock Rockshox Deluxe i have had fitted in the past, the top mount is 30mm and the bottom one 39mm (seams an odd size?) can anybody confirm that (i used a cheap plastic ruler...40mm looks too big to me!)

Hi there.

Mine measures: Front - 32mm; Rear - 40mm. Mine is however a pro frame so may be different sorry.

Maybe my old shock is worn right down and these are the correct measurements (seam a lot better on paper than the ones i did myself lol)

Picked up this beauty today complete with sharkfin fitted, can't wait to get it built up. May go for a full BETD rear end yet....
