Show us what you did today, thread

Hi Velo
As long as your seeing your health go in the right direction then that's what counts.
Hopefully we will meet up soon for a ride. We would have been doing the east Lothian rough stuff audax but it seems like it wasn't on this year, I think due to PBP which a fair few of the Audax Ecosse clan are at.
Anyway take care of yourself and your lady and hopefully see you soon.

Jamie

Re:

Very brave post Velo.
Like you’ve said, health is way more important than stuff.
Mountain biker, gravel rider, roadie, they’re all just labels. Me, I’m a rider. This year it’s been gravel and road, as I don’t have time to waste driving 2 hours each way for a ride. Don’t worry about what or where you’re riding, as long as you ride when you’re able. We all have bikes in the blood, it’s a disease you can’t get rid of.

I hope you get a treatment that suits, just don’t be a stranger.

Velo, sometimes life is shit, and it's not just you and no-one is immune.

Regardless of how you feel, you're always welcome on one of our rides.

Re:

If its helping your mood Velo then that's what must be done (6 bikes is still 5 too many if you listen to my non-cycling friends (I don't!) but a much more manageable number than previously.)
Getting out on the bike helps things, even for just a quick ride. I've been doing much more riding on my doorstep this year, and am still finding tracks and paths I've never ridden before.
Be good to see you out at another ride sometime, Strade-be-manky earlier this year was great fun :)

Re:

I do recall Clubby suggesting a second visit to his turf for another gravel run. He does have the advantage of being reasonably central for much of us travelling to a meet.
If your listening Clubby another gravel meet would be good

Re:

.... and I’ll make sure the cake stop is actually open. :)

Have had a rough plan for a re-run ever since the last one, taking in the trails we missed last time round.
Will be less ambitious with the mileage this time. Ish

Bit of polishing and fitted a DX crankset and XT rear mech
