Re:
Today I went for a pleasant and misty ride around the local woods, combined with a bit of trail maintenance, clearing branches from the trail etc.
All was going well until I got a front wheel puncture  , no problem I have a spare tube and a mini pump, new tube fitted, went to pump it up.... and... the handle of the pump comes off along with the piston. Great  tried to fix it, but no, the mini pump which has served me well for many years has decided today is the day to break.
So I dig out my one and only Co2 cartridge and inflate the tube
only once inflated I notice there's a 3" section of tyre that's popped off the rim :x the only way to get it back on the rim is to let enough air out to allow me to push the tyre bead back on, which works, but means the tyre is now pretty low on pressure and I have nothing left to pump it up with.
Cue an "interesting" steady ride back home with the front tyre threatening to roll off the rim at every corner
And to top it all off, just after I got home the sun decided to come out.... :|
