Show me your Switchblades

I've just noticed on a couple of the photo's that there is a little pip on the inside of the fork legs. I'm not sure if they are there on mine, but I'll have a look later when I'm in the garage setting the forks up.

I thought those little pips were there for two reasons; (1) To limit how far the fork legs can pass through the crown, and (2) to enable lining up the fork in the correct direction (rotationally) as the pip settles in the gap in the crown. That's how I run mine.

I walked into the shop Thursday afternoon- Skippy was doing this, whatever the heck it is...
Must be a switchblade in there somewhere!

Looks like a bunch of jiggery pokery to me.

Not sure my Switchblades are Switchblades.

I set them up over the weekend, using marks on one fork leg to get it correctly relocated and then used a brace, hub and other gubbins to get the second leg installed, measured A to C and got exactly 390mm.

While I was doing all this, I noticed the drop outs have Lung-I cast into them. I can't find any pictures of Lungi forks that look anything like mine. Not that it matters, they are installed, appear nice and square and have a temporary wheel currently sitting in place.

Should be picking up some more wheels and a headset this week, so pictures of the project will follow at some point.

Thanks for all the photos.

Heres a blurry pic of my non Switchblade switchblades from the dim and distant

A blatant rip-off, heavy and 'lungi' on the drop-outs

YUP! That's the kiddies.

They don't seem too heavy to me, but then I have nothing to compare them to, and as they are on my mtb / cx project, I won't have to worry too much about doing any harm to a item of increasing rarity.

Although, it does rather make me wish I'd bought the genuine Switchblades you sold a short while ago.

Ah well, we live and learn.

Thank you, I think you might get just a touch more salt in that wound ;)

As long as they keep the front wheel in place, they'll do for now, and they weren't expensive (I obviously know why now).
