Mcmahon.....a slow burner gathering dust at the moment

Brake pads are backwards...

Just shoved on for the photograph, the bike is a pile of nuts and bolts at the moment.

So what's the order of efficiency then? Assuming all correctly set up. Canti, u, roller, v, disc?

If my suntour brakes are anything to go by I would put roller cams firmly at the bottom, the drag created by my beard does a better job slowing me down. I was wondering if there is a more effective brake lever to use than my 2 finger xt's. Will the 4 finger version make a discernible difference?

This brake technology is before my time (94+), but it looks pretty awesome! When did U brakes get replaced with cantis? I might have to get myself a late 80s or 90 frame just to get the look
