That’s superb - is it one of the mid ‘80s USA range?Prior to the Kuwahara I use now, this was its' successor; a Raleigh Elkhorn with Raleigh "555sl" tubing and Shimano MT-700 shifting. Unfortunately, it developed a frame failure and was retired (in a Bladerunner sense).

Yes Indeed, mid 80's for sure. Was a nice ride. I would have liked to have seen another bottle braze-on on the seat tube and perhaps mid fork blade braze-ons. Replaceable brake boss braze-ons too! Not enough bikes have that feature. That’s superb - is it one of the mid ‘80s USA range?
1999 M-TRAX 450. A little new perhaps but the plan is to retro-ise it with rigid forks / '97 components in a (vain?) attempt to make it look pretty(ish). Anyway, this is how it arrived and I haven't got far yet!

wow, removing also the Raleigh Decals from the down tube, made this bike a lot cleaner! Before it was a bit too much with the flame decals and all the lables.Following wise words I'm going to ride this with the standard forks and see how I get on. Had a bit of a swap around, looking to add some M950 calipers, subtle manitou decals on the forks, a black bar and I then it should look something like I hope!
