My names Russell and I own an On-One.

Two actually.

Can I confess...

...I quite like Russell's On-One, i climbed really nicely and it had a lovely paint job. I even thought it rode well.
A bit like a modern Kona if Kona still made steel Cinder Cones.

You're brave.

Batten down the hatches Captain!

I see no reason not to practice so necromancy and ressurect 10 years dead thread with my — long gone too — On One Il Pompino. Built up from heavily used frameset (so heavily that forks are not matching), beat to hell and back with dents, paint chips and scratches everywhere. Aside from brakes cheapest namebrand parts I could find — meant to be a winter beater. Ended up riding it for under 200 KMS and trading for Specialized Tricross that I liked better for brake mounts, condition and being aluminum (out of seven bikes I own it was the only alu one). But enjoyed having On One for that little time I did.
Build spec for anyone interested:
- On One Il Pompino frame and alomst matching forks
- Stock wheelset from Pure Fix bike with axle spacers and redished rear wheel (because someone at On One thought that 135mm rear dropouts on a single speed is a good idea)
- Specialized Tracer tires (old ones, for hardpack)
- Lasco 130bcd with 42t ring and 18t stock Pure Fix freewheel; Neco BB; kmc rust resistant chain; Dartmoor Candy pedals
- TRP EuroX cantilever brakes with Tektro RX5.0 carbon (hell yeah) aero levers
- Profile Design bullhorn bars, Easton ea50 stem, Alpina seat post
- Prologo something or other saddle with cracked base
- red Hope headset and clamp for no good reason (frameset came with them)
Attaching only (in assembled state) two pics of it I have.
