I'd be tempted by it. Especially with a non-contrib pension if you are approaching retirement age. Dont forget any uplift in your pension is worth a good chunk more as its gross off tax. Just check into the hiring/firing history of the new company financial services are generally quite keen on offshoring - even if it doesn't make sense to do so.

do it, the job may appear dull but the team could be awesome to work with. more money, closer etc are a huge obvoius benefit. i really really miss working on site but teaching my trade has many other perks over doing it full time now. glad i made the change.
