[1997 lavadome]

Hello,
Just joined this today so thought i would say hi.
Just started getting back into MTB, first race was cheddar this year, very enjoyable!

Used to ride a KONA lava dome bought brand new 1997 but now upgraded to a Specialized epic comp 2008, couldn't beleive just how much of a difference the new bike makes!
Tried a stumpjumper but it was too springy, the Epic is perfect and very fast.

Unsure what to do with the KONA, my local shop said it is very rare to see one in such good condition, the onlty mods are FOX 100RL forks and new handlebars, i still have all the old bits.

Well, as you've come to a retro enthusiasts site we're all going to say yes, keep it, restore it and love it!
Kona's are good steeds, be good to see a pic or 2.

hi, i've got as you an Epic Sworks but i take more pleasure with my old bikes!
The Epic is too perfect!! Very good for the races, but not for the fun!
