Should I get a bell?

I found that my modern rear hubs loud clicking sound when I stop pedalling lets every one know I'm behind them. So no need for a bell. Most of the time I wish modern hubs didn't make that sound click. My American Classic didn't. BITD my Hope hubs also clicked loudly

Not read all the replies but it's a yes from me. Since I got into gravel bikes I've been riding near people a lot more so having a bell just makes shifting them easier.

Yes. Deffo have a bell.....never paid for one, they come on old bikes and frankly its a bell.....if it goes ping.....its fine.......

A bell is not a legal requirement under con and use or the RTA so we won't be getting a pistol whipping from the local dibble.

It is, however, a requirement that bicycles sold as a BSENxxxx approved machine for use on a road or in public are fitted with one at the point of sale.
