"Shorter" Time Trial bike. Maybe anyone has some i

Justinas

Retro Newbie
Hello everyone,
last couple of days I'm trying to come up with some info about this "Shorter" TT bike. Sadly, I had no luck. But maybe anyone here in UK will know something on this bike, which was apparently made here.

I only have these pictures for now, but will make better one, when it will be built up. It has a Cinelli bottom bracket, which would indicate, that it's Columbus tubing. My guess would be, that it's also built by Barry Chick. Please, correct me if I'm wrong and tell me if you have any other ideas. Any info would be great! Thank you.

(don't mind the wheels)

You could try to contact 'shorter rochford' in Potters bar, Hertfordshire.... I'm not sure, but I think they were originally shorter..... It's a family business anyway ;0)

I'd imagine a number of regular posters on there will know all about Shorters.

I had a fluo yellow Cougar with chrome forks that's of similar ages to your Shorter I'd imagine (although mine was standard road geometry). This is the frame I've alluded to finalising as a retro/modern mix and is currently finished in what was Leo RC colours of pearlescent white with red decals (remember seeing loads of Shorters like this as they sponsored the Leo)

Alan Rochford of Shorter is the man to contact to possibly shed some light on this particular machine.
