I’ve been putting this moment off for far too long, but think the time has come to pass on some bikes that due to old age and ever increasing poor health I am not able to ride anymore.
This is one of them.
As you can see it’s a Shorter, finished in ice blue with chromed front and rear dropouts, and built with 531SL tubing.
Believed to have been built by Vic Edwards and carries a V stamp on the bottom bracket.
There are NO dents or scratches on this frame, and though sadly I have only ridden it a few miles I can say with hand on heart it rides beautifully.
It has tight clearances, but not so tight your toe hits the front wheel when turning like some do.
To underline, the frame is near mint and I rate nothing 10/10.
The components as we used to say are “all Campag” except the seat post, and in good condition.
I rebuilt the handle bar levers as the screws and nuts were not up to the required standard.
The rest is as can be seen, good Cinelli bars and stem, Weinmann sprint rims (nice) and turbo saddle in okay but not perfect condition.
I have several pictures I can send to anyone interested, or can take pictures of any specific part if asked. I am also happy to answer any questions.
Oh, and its 21 ¼” C/T as near as I can measure.
This is a lovely bike, and needs to be ridden again by someone.
