DO NOT go on travel whatsoever!!! I have seen 120mm forks with shorter axle crown length than some 65mm ones. BE WARNED measure up fost! All down to Stanchion overlap! SIDS are on the long side as they have sloping crowns! Marzochi tend to be a lot shorter in axle/crown length, PACE MX 35 are good what about Manitous or a nice set of Whites these are shortish.

Rockshocks do a Europa fork in 50mm travel with disc tabs which I have seen on Chain Reaction Cycles website as well as a simple 40mm travel 700c Fork with I think disc tabs. Suntour also do a 50mm travel disc compatible fork that is commonly available.
