Your problem is that the box is too big. I can normally get a bike into a box no bigger than 140 x 20 x 80'ish.

Makes a big, big difference to the cost. try P4D and Parcel2go for quotes.

I have tried parcel2go couldn't get a quote. With the wheels on that is the size of the box needed as it will just fit in. With the front wheel off the box will be about 140cm long and brings it down to about £111 a bit better.

I don't do alot of shipping of big items overseas.

Well that P4D link is good. I will use them in future.

All the bikes I buy come in 176x29x100cm boxes which is the problem. I am not cutting it down and uses two rolls of tape sticking back together. Better things to do with my time. Going to have to trawl round the local shops for 140x20x80 boxes.
