shimano xt 739 or XT 737 chainset

just a quick question

which is regarded as the better crank / chainset between

XT M739 4 arm

XT M737 5 arm

i am just after a cheap one for a bike i am putting together and have these two options available which would you choose?

M737 is the nicer and retro-er crank arms

5 is more than 4 so must be

Though if you get the 5 arm M739 it's passable.

Also the 5 arm means you can use normal compact rings and you don't have to buy the almost impossible to find outer spider/ring for it.

The 5 arm means you'll find new rings easier to get/fit.
The one piece spider/big ring is great as long as spares/support if available.. oh wait it's Shimano - built in obsolescence as standard! (post 1993)

I often found it one of life's ironies that Shimano's prettiest and most useful chainset, the 737, was replaced by it's ugliest. I really disliked the 739 from the start.
