Wanted Shimano Sora Right Lever/Shifter STI 9 speed

Hi, my Shimano Sora right shifter is not working - can't shift rear derailleur - LBS said it needs replacing and so here I am .

I guess other Shimano levers would work as long as they're 9 speed...Tiagra, Ultegra etc.

Pic of my current one attached - can't find a number on it though.

I think it's not catching. I took it to Decathlon and Halfords - both said they couldn't repair it.

Give it a really good blast through with WD40, repeat a day later then try. The grease goes hard and gums them up.

Indeed - I doubt its broken.
You could sent it to us bs1 5bb id expect to get it working again.

Halfords and decathlon aren't really oriented to fixing

Agreed. A shed load of wd40 and gt85 afterwards will see it working again (hopefully!)

Alright, how much? How new?

I've looked far and wide and can't seem to find an exact replacement for this lever.

Obviously, there are lots of other options. A 3X8 Sora set on ebay but then I'd have to change my rear 9spd cassette and I think there might be a compatibility issue with the rear mech. TBH, I'd be happy to just have 2X 8-11spd but then I'd have to change the front mech too...trying to keep it simple.

What's the model number? St-3500?
We probably have one.
If I know what it is, I can look in the drawer.
