Shimano LX m570 v brakes max tyre clearance

As by title, can I run 26 x 2.35 tyres with the LX m570 V brakes? I am trying to refresh my old MTB, thanks

It depends massively on frame - probably more than anything else. On my Dawes Edge I can barely get 2.0 tyres past the brakes. My P7 (same year) is much more tolerant.

Thanks for the reply. The seat stays are wider than the v brakes and the space at the chainstays is around 68 mm

Rim width also matters - wide rims result in pads less inset AND a different tyre width when mounted on the wheel.

IN the end it's easy to over-think things - and you will not get an absolute answer. Give it a try.

You are completely right, my question is a little bit lame. On my "modern-ish" bike (A Gorilla Monsoon) I have Teravail 27.5 x 2.4. My first wheelset had ID 23 rims, and when I moved the tyres to a newr wheelset with ID 30 they got visibly wider.

I had here a question if it is not an issue: Can I run 11-40 9 speed cassette with the RD-M570? Thanks
