The grey foam aero covers comes on ebay all the time or you could wrap the bars/cables first with electrical tape, then proper bar tape over that tape.


Regarding the stem......

To remove the clamp, look in the middle of it and you'll see a 5mm allen key bolt, remove it and the clamp will fall out, then look at the rear of it, it'll say 25.4mm.

Actually I will check my other ax stem my Denti before I do anything. I do remember there was more clearance than I have on this one.

I've got a 600 stem here, I'll measure it tomorrow.

Only need to remove the steel clamp to see what the correct size is!

I didn't need to remove anything, it still had the sticker underneath, mine's a 25.4 as well.

I have to get a 26 stem for it. I just bought the Jan Janssen frame so I can build it soon. That stem I have has a metal hidden bolt screw not a plastic one, just wondered if it was correct? It is in all other respects?
