Shimano Deore XT Shifter ST-M095 Rebuild

Add the push trigger to the shifter assembly.

Add the steel spacer washer to the shifter spindle.

Place the return spring for the push trigger on the shifter assembly.

 

[hookooekoo]

Add the special steel washer to the shifter spindle.

 

[hookooekoo]

Secure the shifter assembly with the nut.

 

[hookooekoo]

Tension the return spring for the push trigger by pushing its tang anti-clockwise around the shifter spindle, until the spring tang locates in the notch in the special steel washer.

Put the shifter ratchet assembly back in its housing.

Just dug this great thread out as I have a couple of units to rebuild.
Do you know if the process is exactly the same for ST-M900?
