Shimano Crankset

Retro Newbie
Hi,

I'm new hear so please be patient, I learning as I go so if I get mixed up let me know.

basically I'm building a 1996 GT LTS-1, all I have left to buy is the crankset.

I'm told it needs a COMPACT crankset and Im really after late 90's parts

bikepedia says original equipment was: Shimano Deore XT, 22/32/42 teeth

so something along those lines would be perfect.

You've finally joined up then Dave :D

For those reading - The frame needs a compact square taper crank (non compact hit the chainstay, and don't look right), and anything from 96-99 XT or LX (XT for preference) will suit the other components.

Lx cranks

I've got some Lx ones. Cranks only £20 posted. Cranks and red middleburn 42 outer and steel bolts £32 posted. They are currently on my Proflex but don't look right as they are too new so will be replacing them with older XT ones.
