I need a length of Shimano hydraulic brake hose for some SLX brakes, and also some hose for a Rockshox Reverb Seatpost, are they the same thing?
And where's best to buy from? It seems bloody expensive for what it is!

Shimano hose will have banjo or in line fitting swaged on at the calliper end.

This can be bought from chain reaction or ebay. It is available in other colours.

The brake lever end uses a hollow bolt and olive.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the Shimano banjo at the caliper end.

Shortening a hose is a simple job, fitting a longer hose..... different story...

The goodridge hose kits seem rather expensive!!! I've found a few places to get plain hose from, but by the time you add all the other bits, barbs, banjos, bleed kit etc... it's almost time to just replace the brake with new!

Re:

Thanks, think I've got the brake line sorted now.

Is the hydraulic hose from the Reverb Seatpost the same as brake hose? (I'm thinking it is?).
(I know it's a push fit at the remote end, need to have a look at the Seatpost connection though....).

Edit: right, found all that I need now, thanks chaps! :)
