Wanted Shimano 600 Long Cage rear derailleur

I think several/all the versions of the 600 rear derailleurs had long cage variants. I have an arabesque one, but perhaps you're seeking one from later years?

Yes, you are right, there are a few versions of 600. Arabeque would do as about age appropriate for my 1978 Condor. Please send me some photos and condition report with price.
Many thanks, John.

Sounds like arabesque would be perfect for your 70's Condor. Although now I'm unsure I can help as the arabesque one I had in mind turned out to be a Dura Ace GS one I confused with arabesque because it's from the same era. I have an arabesque one too, although only answered your ad after remembering seeing where the arabesque (but not arabesque!) one was stored, and what with my bike parts storage organisation being currently a mess, it's very hit and miss whether I could find the arabesque. After raising your hopes now though, I feel I should try to attempt a search, but may well take a few weeks due to the circumstances, but let me know if you'd still be interested:)

Tell me about the Dura Ace GS if you are happy to sell it.
John

Sure, just thought you'd be using it with a 600 groupset, so would rule it out. But I can give you some details on the derailleur. Firstly, it's actually the Crane GS model, but you'll likely be aware that this is the earliest version of Dura Ace before the name was changed. It's the all-silver version. My example looks to be NOS, as the jockey wheels look new and the derailleur shows no other signs of having been on a bike/used. It also works perfectly. I don't have the box for it though. It still has it's original 'claw' hanger attachment, but this can obviously be removed. Due to the condition and it being the rarer version of the DA derailleur, this will bump up the selling price a bit, but if that's acceptable I can work out a price for you. And of course I can post a few pics if you're still keen.

They often fitted higher grade derailleurs compared to, for example, the brakes. A price, delivery to Essex, UK, and some photos would be appreciated.
John.

Yes, now I recall seeing some bikes kitted out that way. I'll take a few pics in the morning and get back to you with the prices later on in the day.
