Shimano 10 speed thumb shifters

Will these Dura ace work with shimano road cassettes?

Yes but you have to pair it with any Shimano 7/8/9 rear mech or 10 speed road Shimano.

In 10 speed Shimano's road and MTB have different cable pull per click.

So you can use an MTB 10 speed mech

FWIW the shimano road shifters have quite a long throw compared to standard thumbies.

Interesting. But I have a road mech on my mtb. Will bear that in mind concerning the long throw. Is that more than SRAM type?

They are bar end shifters designed for the ends of bars. They never make for good thumb shifters as they swing round too much compared to a standard purposely designed thumbshifter

It's about 120 degrees of swing on my 9 speed D-A bar ends. (Not sure exactly as i'm not going in the attic to check now!)
