Selling on Retrobike, hit and miss with folk!

No major issues so far but some people expect the prices to be the same as the era it was made in, with no account for inflation or rarity and condition.

Re:

I’ve found everyone good on here who’s actually purchased. Even when problems occur it’s always been ok in the end.

However I don’t do dibs , hold items , or reply to stupid offers. I price fairly when selling and sell stuff easily usually so the above folk tend to be hassle.

Speaking mainly as a buyer, this is the only “free” place without buyer protection that I use outside of e-bay. Other than occasionally having to be a bit patient, I find it pretty good place to trade. I do check feedback threads & look at how long and how active a member is though...

Re:

I'm happy to say that I've never had any problems on Retrobike :D
Members have always been helpful and in general a pleasure to deal with
including the occasions where a touch of haggling is involved. I tend to deal with established members who are often ones I've dealt with before.
Yes, I like it on here

Think I have just been a bit unlucky. But on reflection, folk are fantastic on here, just a few bad apples. And I prefer here for selling than other sources. Anyway had my rant, apologies. Back to tinkering with the bike :)

Cheshire

All you need to do is Fire me some pics of what you selling and a price and I’m sure 9 times out of 10 I’ll have it

Job done :D   ;)

In all fairness I do too, but I also try to keep in mind I had a single post too when I arrived looking to sell my clockwork.
I would say the following is an indication of many members stories - Old bike in loft, google make, arrive at RB.

Then you discover 5 years have passed, you sold the loft find, but now have 5 more and its into you for £9G

Re:

Spent a fortune on here over the years and mostly had good experiences selling stuff too. Its a much tougher sale here these days for high end stuff particularly but it is what is is.
