Seatpost stuck!

Recently bought an old Saracen thats not been used for ages and the seatpost is completely jammed...

Any tips on how I can get it out?

Your in luck. There's about a bazillion threads on this fella. Use the search you'll find some easy.

Try Sheldon Browns website - google "Sheldon Brown stuck seatpost" for his 15 tips which is really helpful as well.

if the seatpost is big enough, you can sometimes stick a stem down it to get it out. but please bear in mind this topic has been discussed upteen times with solutions of varying success. use the search function and laugh at our attempts

LGF's suggestion of inserting a quill stem with bars is a good one, if you can get a quill to fit
