Obviously I would never put a saddle that way on a seatpost but... if it made the bike fit better I can't immediately think of a reason why not (other than looking a fool)...???

Before you mock too much....

Check out Tony Martin in the Tour of Dubai time trial - he has his setback seatpost the "wrong" way round to get a more forward position.
Maybe this was where Tony Martin got the idea?
