Seat post size?

My current seat post is 26.4mm diameter. I was wondering if I could get away with a 26.2mm diameter post and clamp up a little tighter? Thoughts please.

I wouldn't bother myself, besides potential tightening / slippage issues 26.4mm is such a common size to find for decent price... not sure 26.2 is :?

You can use the Coke can trick to take up the 0.2mm gap.

I'd stick with the correct sized post. The small amount of potential movement from an undersized post is a good way to damage a frame, especially if it's aluminium or lightweight steel.

Also as Dead Rats says, 26.4mm posts are much easier to find than 26.2mm ones.
