I remember an article from the comic, or maybe another magazine, about Sean Yates getting a custom lo-pro built after he stopped as a pro but was still riding.

Does anyone else remember it? Anyone have a copy they can scan?

Thanks!

Would that be an Enigma ti frame, when he rode for Trainsharp?

I don't remember Mike! I think it was steel. And white. Could be wrong about all that though...

Re:

I vaguely remember it being as an independent rider. Quite likely he wasn't though

Re:

Voila

If memory serves, there were a few other riders in the team, but not many

Re:

Mike, I think you're right..... Was more interested in the article on the bike than the rider though. I can't remember who built it though

Yes I can vaguely recall this article.

This site is a really good source; I think the bike you are referring to is the Nimbus, one of the photos shows Sean on it.

In my view, the most distinctive bike that Sean rode after he retired as a pro was the Hotta. I remember riding against Sean in the 1998 National 100 miles champs, he rode alongside teammate Richard Prebble who won the event. Both of them rode these bikes, painted silver with matching wheels. Unfortunately no photos of Sean on this bike is on the site, however there is of Prebble riding the bike:

If you have ridden time trials at all, it is likely you are on the site; bet you are all searching it now :D
