Oh the memories!

Here is the gem that is Joydens Wood near Bexley- my local and has been since ooooh the 1980's....

What's Joydens Wood like these days? Nice pics.

Haven't cycled there since about, er...... 1983! Christ that makes me feel old! Mountain bikes had hardly been invented. I rode an old Phillips with a 3-speed hub, fat tyres and MX-bike handlebars at Joydens Wood almost every weekend in those days.

Joydens is a gem, my favourite place locally for singletrack- its not massive and gets a bit boggy in places in mid winter, but it flows!
Do beware of dog walkers, they (99% of them) happily tolerate us riding around and it'd be nice to keep it that way

One from last weekend's ride, trying to keep up with the pack whilst riding hard churned up mud and grab a telephoto shot in poor light at the same time. The results weren't the best, so to make the best of a bad job I went all artsy and "pushed" it digitally for some gritty and grainy old skool style b&w photography.
