Scrap yard mtb challenge May ride!!

Got an idea and wanting some input for May`s Regional ride.

The idea !

-To purchase on a budget through ebay a complete bike during a started period (month of April?)
-Part of the rules the ebay purchase has to be linked to ride thread
-Budget is £25 ? (Maybe less or post included?)
-fettling allowed but nothing changed. Maybe cables?
-Complete a lap of the V trail at FOD or a social loop
-Then have a concours for Bike of the ride!!

Can always bring proper bikes along for a ride after?

what you think? Input ideas?

Good idea Dave,

Though to test the bikes more, why not avoid the graded trails and use the more challenging natural single track. You could do a similar distance route and avoid the crowds at the same time- just an idea chap.

So I'm supposed to buy a bike I don't want, that weighs the same as a ships anchor and then ride it on one of James's torture climbs from hell.

What about a charity shop, junk shop or bike jumble buy, with some form of purchase price proof?

OK, I've just done a price related search on ebay and we absolutely HAVE to do this.

I nearly bought the most amazing late 80's Peugeot and there is a Saracen exactly the same as my first ever mtb. :twisted:
