BUILT HER UP BACK THE DAY OFF A SPECIALIZED ROCKCOMBO-

I used to live near Inverness, Invermoriston home of the infamous Timber Jack Track, back in the day when we carried bikes. Still have a race report from that race in an old copy of MBUK.

Used to race the west highland wheelers serise as a youth and then the SCU races as a Junior though out the 90's, then realsied I was rubbish at (and bored of) short course races and much better at endurace races. Haven't raced a SCU race in years.

I used to ride for Moray Firth cc, still ride for Fyrish RT.

Used to ride a Pace towards the latter half of the 90's but now ride more morden bikes

spoke with colin when we did the hairy coo this year- very tough course BTW. He had his old clockwork but did not manage to race her on the day.

Mac Retro

yeah - did the odd race round Aberdeen on my old Salsa ala Carte - which is now doing the rounds of various retrobikers on here ! bit old for racing noo .... just had ANOTHER birthday this week - went snowboarding at the Lecht ..... used to press my nose against the glass of Neill Ross cycles in King St Aberdeen - or Alpine Bikes in Holburn St - hell i even used Cycle World in George St ...... and the one i can never remember in some court in the middle of town ..... races i remember are a downhill at Durris , a cross country in the woods somewhere east of toon .... did go to places like Dundee and Edinburgh in the late 80's too ... have high 8 video of Grundig at Strathpeffer ..... bikes nowadays include a rather scabby Wicked Fat Chance , a beautiful 96 Klein Attitude , an alu KHS and an ON-ONE Inbred ...... oh and a Titanium Bontrager is on its way after Christmas ! oh and one of those "new" Orange Prestige frames should be here too once i fix this identity theft thing with the bank ! thanks Ipod

Im Working on a 1989 Offroad Master,

I remember that bike, and Andrew was a classmate of a riding buddy back then- was Aburdeen Uni CC early 90's- see my pics thread for some shots from back then!
