Scottish Retro Bikers

X Lite Ti

This has had serveral guises. Back in the days it had full XC Pro, then Hope/Middleburn, then a single speed for a short while, now rebuilt for the good lady to ride. It is pretty much as photo today except for modern XT Hollowtech II cranks/BB.

Wheels are Hope/Pace carbon, Swiss DT ceramic rims, Avid Ti vees, USE Ti post. With the right tyres/tubes it can get to 21lb.

(And if I slot in a different post/saddle set up I can still cadge a crafty ride: she thinks I wash her bike down from time to time out of the goodenss of my heart  )

Nice bike TB  , didn't know X-lite did a Ti frame, look's very Orange like.

it was probably just a marketing thing, ie not made by Xlite. As I recall the frame only option was under the Xlite badge and you could get the full bikes (2 groupset options I think) under Raleigh. It was about £750 in 1995??

Probably made in the FE from Russian Ti. Nice neat job anyway.

Think it would be good to do a meet in jan. maybe central so just let us know when you are onshore S. and we could plan round you?

Add me to the Scottish but banished category.

Now living in Wales, but I don't see much RetroCymru posts here ;-(

Then start some 'Jones the Retrobiker' posts, it was me that started MacRetro as a catchall name for us Scots.
