What kind of ratio of cross bikes to MTBs was there? Have a nagging interest but I'm not sure which bike I'd use.

ZZ you'd be in the codgers class so you'd be fine

Rumble, today there was very few, 2 or 3 that I recall, but the one I did last year had more but still not too many maybe up to 10max in a field of 50 or so. The Vets race had more. Including a muddy Rocky Mountain equipe

Not spooky Rob its an omen, just think this could be the edge to usurp that guy from SXC :twisted:

You wouldn't have the clearance for CX tyres with callipers I don't think :? there was a guy today on a road bike with slicks an all. I have no idea how he managed though

Right enough - never thought of that

You could fit some of those Halo Twin Rail 700 x 24c tyres. They have an aggressive tread and tough casing although they're not CX tyres they might allow a roadbike to survive.

In yet another stoopid reversal of what I've said before I am tempted to give it a go in SS mode. Whens the plean one again ?
